So important in the current world situation. It seems that humans, however, crave certainty. Perhaps this is driven by our evolutionary default perception of danger and it is only when we perceive safety that we can mitigate hyper-vigilance. Uncertainty does not feel safe, so most seek safety in likely false certainty, clinging to their convictions despite evidence to the contrary. It appears to me that if we are to evolve as a species, sapiens will need to learn to feel comfortable with uncertainty.
